What a scooter service covers
Every bike is different, so we'll tell you what yours needs when we see it. A typical scooter service takes in:
- Engine oil and filter
- Gearbox oil
- Drive belt and rollers checked or replaced
- Brake pads, discs and fluid
- Tyres and pressures
- Spark plug and air filter
- Lights, horn and electrics
- A road test before you get it back
How often?
Follow the mileage in your handbook as the baseline. If you ride every day in London traffic, or you ride for deliveries, come in more often — stop-start riding is harder on belts, oil and brakes than the manufacturer's schedule assumes.
